Mitscoots Socks announces its first annual SXSW Austin Giving Trip on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the State Capitol on 11th and Congress. According to Tim Scott, Co-Founder of Mitscoots Socks, “Often, the homeless and those in need are giving a second class status during the SXSW festivities and we want to let people know they aren’t forgotten.”
Well it's been an amazing ride so far and we cant thank everyone enough for all the support we have gotten. In the one whole year that we have been around, we have managed to accomplish some amazing things. Take a look at our year in review.
At Mitscoots we have a simple phrase we like to use, “everyday giving.” While this could be interpreted in many different ways, it means one thing to us. What can I do today to give back. This is a great list of easy ways you can help contribute to the concept of “everyday giving”.
It has been an amazing ride so far and we have had a chance to do some great things helping those in need. That in mind we were honored when Austin Fusion Magazine decided to run a story about us. It is an awesome publication run by some seriously talented people.
Check out what a typical day making socks at Mitscoots looks like. We made a nifty little video of the process. Big thanks again to all our friends that do such great work and make our office amazing.
We do this all the time, but it never gets old. It was an awesome day of packaging socks with our friend Ellis. He has worked with us a number of times and we're glad to have him on the team.
