It’s back to school time and we have another great Giving Partner to introduce to you this week.
Project Lemonade was created to inspire self-esteem in foster youth. The cost of feeding and housing a foster child can already be a financial strain on many families; providing clothes creates an additional hardship. Foster youth need the same stuff as any other: they outgrow their shoes. Their jeans fray. They lose their socks, just like any kid. But unlike other kids, many foster youth move frequently and can fit all of their belongings into a single trash bag.
Project Lemonade can help provide basic clothing, shoes, socks, coats and backpacks to help get these kids ready for school. We are happy to provide them with new socks, beanies and scarves for their store this year.
The amazing youth who visit the Project Lemonade store are thankful to have a cheerful place where they can get these basic items that many foster youth have to go without when they start a new school year. Project Lemonade is here to be one more valuable resource for these youth as they navigate challenges no child should know.
