Super excited to be working with our newest intern Gabriela. She is crazy smart and always a step ahead.
"My name is Gabriela, but no one has ever called me by that name. My sisters call me Gabs (because they're weird), my parents call me Big Baby (because I totally am), and my friends call me Scabs (because I fall and trip everywhere... a LOT.) I moved to Texas from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil back in 2002, and when my parents moved back home, I decided to stay and attend THE University of Texas at Austin. I am studying public relations with a history minor, and I have always been super interested in following something in the field of ethics and corporate responsibility after graduation. I love sports! I play Rugby for the women's team at UT and I workout with Pink Gloves Boxing, a boxing gym which empowers female athletes, teaches women's self-defense and volunteers together to raise money for cancer research. My favorite things to do are hanging out with my dog - Captain Pickles, volunteering with friends, going to the movies, scrapbooking and trying out DIY crafts with my roommates, reading presidential biographies and being overly-competitive during board games. I love building Lego sets, over-using Post-it notes and crying during ESPN sports documentaries. So far, I have loved Mitscoots and I am super excited to be a part of the team and help out however I can!"
Welcome to Team Mitscoots Gabriela!
