This past Tuesday we got together with a ton of great students at The University of Texas at Austin to do some serious Giving. We passed out hundreds of needed items and made some great new friends. One things that stood out to the students was how inquisitive and caring everyone was. Not the students asking those in need, but the other way around. "I would never have thought I would have a deep discussion about my major with someone off the street," said one student. "It was really shocking to see how much we had in common," said another.
Every time we go out to give we are given new perspective and shown the tenacity of the human spirit. It is truly a wonderful time to see the best of people. The students and volunteers learned a lot and walked away as friends.
If we as a group can stress one thing, it is to go out and volunteer. If you would like some of our stylin new gear for the trip, thats great, but more than anything we want you to get out there with some feet to the street and start making a difference in your community.
Because of you we're able to give and employ and we cant say thank you enough. If you want to take the next step, find a great group in your area and make things happen.
